Davos 2025
Attending Davos Innovation Week during the World Economic Forum was a transformative experience that allowed me to engage with global leaders, entrepreneurs, and young changemakers on innovation, sustainability, and climate action. During the event, I participated in the panel discussion “How Does the Youth View Climate Change?”, where, as the youngest panellist alongside a CLS alumnus and university students, I shared my perspective on youth engagement, climate accountability, and the importance of turning awareness into real-world action. Our panel was honoured with the Young Innovator’s Award by Quantumfai, recognising our collective commitment to advocating for a more sustainable future. I also attended “A Sustainable Future: ESG & SDG Insights”, which deepened my understanding of how sustainability can be integrated into business and finance through measurable ESG and SDG strategies. Another memorable moment was attending the Nature Lunch hosted by Innovate 4 Nature, Nature Wealth Foundation, the European Biodiversity Coalition, and Biodiversity Bridge, where Barbara Dubach presented Primal Fløps, described as the world’s first biodegradable flip flops. The discussion reinforced a powerful takeaway for me: many solutions to today’s environmental challenges already exist, and what we need now is stronger collaboration, faster adoption, and the determination to scale what works. I was also honoured to be recognised by Philip J. Weights for my environmental initiative, ecoedus, through which I have planted over 10,000 trees. Overall, the experience strengthened my belief in the power of collaboration and the importance of ensuring young voices are represented in shaping solutions for a more sustainable future.
